The second week of the ten-week Data Analytics course. Things get…easy.
I’M ON TOP OF THINGS
The course, so far, is extremely doable. Some of the Excel functions I’m familiar with.
I had some experience with Excel doing a Science degree, and I use Google Sheets to play with data in my marketing job, so this isn’t all that new to me. Even so…
I’M LEARNING THE NUANCES
There’s a level of detail here that’s surprising. None of this is necessarily difficult, and I could definitely have Googled this if I needed it. But the course is detailed enough that I know the difference between COUNT, COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, COUNTA and COUNTBLANK.
There’s also a lot more emphasis on Pivot Tables and the various manipulations within. I learned how to create a Pivot Table Slicer and create a simple visualisation/dashboard in Excel. It’s not very powerful, but it can be functional.
I’M WAITING
For now, I’m waiting for this to be interesting. The online learning is manageable and life is easy.
